In recent years, the state has emphasized on promoting and developing the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area". Since the nine cities in the GBA are closed to Hong Kong geographically and have great development potential, many Hong Kong brands are looking forward to entering the GBA market. However, the Hong Kong Brands may not be able to fully adapt to the business environment in the GBA. Meanwhile, local brands encounter more limitations when entering the mainland market due to the long-term border closure under the pandemic. To assist local original brands expand their business in the GBA, the Hong Kong Exporters' Association launched the first business platform "Hong Kong Smart Design, Sparkle in GBA 2022" and held an online kick-off ceremony today. Mr. Benson Pau, the project convenor, estimates that about 150 to 200 companies will benefit from the platform.
